1. Carpenter acquires LPW Technology.
Carpenter Technology Corporation has acquired LPWTechnology in a deal of around $81 million.
LPW is headquartered in Widnes, UK with additional processing operations in Pennsylvania, and is renowned for its metal powders and management, storage and monitoring systems.

2. Sigma Labs is to launch the newest configuration of its PrintRite3D quality control system at the upcoming Formnext show in Frankfurt.
PrintRite3D is an integrated interactive solution designed to enable comprehensive management of additive manufacturing processes. It is made up of SensorPak multi-sensors and hardware and Inspect, Contour and Analytics software modules, of which the SensorPak and Inspection components have seen a series of new and improved features implemented.

3. Kodak to launch its first 3D printer and filament range
Global imaging brand, Kodak has signed an agreement with technology solutions provider, Smart International, as it expands into 3D printing with a new professional desktop printer and range of materials.
Set for release in December, the first product will be the KODAK 3D Printing Filament line, designed to deliver industry-leading low moisture content, high melt flow index and precise diameter and roundness for high-quality prints.
4. Kyocera announces strategic partnership with Leapfrog 3D Printers
Leapfrog 3D Printer’s flagship machine, the Bolt Pro, will be exclusively distributed in Australia and New Zealand after the company announced its partnership with Kyocera Document Solutions Pty Ltd.
